Tranquil Lake
by Patti Hudson & Anne Stott

Bit of blue mist of gray
Wash over the green on tranquil lake
Pure white above us she imagines her fate
We float on our backs on tranquil lake

I move in circles her moves are straight
We wait for each other at tranquil lake
The shoreline shifts with each wave quake
You shouldn't have she says by tranquil lake

Holding my gaze you let us escape
Stealing home late I turn to face
Your wall of cold air solid steel grate
Abandon the cabin on tranquil lake

She looked out the window city sparkled so late
Composure was gathered near tranquil lake
February's short but her changes are great
You'll love it or hate it this tranquil lake
